14 Photos from Scalise’s Offshore Energy Tour

  • OET PLAY 4/23
This week, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) hosted five of his colleagues, Congresswoman Julia Letlow (R-La.), Congressman Cliff Bentz (R-Ore.), Congressman Mike Collins (R-Ga.), Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-Ill.), and Congressman Jake Ellzey (R-Texas), at Chevron Corporation's Anchor oil and gas production platform in the Gulf of Mexico for his annual Offshore Energy Tour. Leader Scalise and the Members toured the facility and learned about energy exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico. They also discussed the Biden Administration’s unprecedented delays in issuing the 5-year offshore lease plan and reluctance to hold lease sales, which undermines U.S. energy and national security and sacrifices good-paying American jobs. By canceling lease sales and failing to issue a robust 5-year plan, future investment in American energy exploration and production in the Gulf is jeopardized. More than 100 miles off the coast of Louisiana, the Members witnessed firsthand how American-made energy is produced more efficiently and cleanly than any other country in the world.
