White House Denies Democrats Pushing For Government Shutdown-But All Evidence To The Contrary…

Today, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney claimed that the White House does not believe that Democratic leaders “want a shutdown.”

CARNEY: “We do not believe that any of the leaders in the Congress—Democratic side or the Republican side—want a shutdown. The White House must read different news than those of us here on Capitol Hill because it was just earlier this week when the Senate’s “de facto leader” Chuck Schumer pushed for his fellow Democrats to politicize spending negotiations.
