Washington Post Criticizes Obama Administration For Their “Outrageous” Medicare Claims

It’s not a great morning for the Obama Administration’s “inflammatory rhetoric” on proposed changes to save and preserve Medicare for future generations in The Washington Post. In the latest installment of The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker” blog, Glenn Kessler calls Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’s Medicare claims “outrageous” and awarded them “Three Pinocchios.”

The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker” Blog Called The Obama Administration’s Medicare Claims “Outrageous.” (Glenn Kessler, “Kathleen Sebelius’s Outrageous Claim That Cancer Patients Would ‘Die Sooner’ Under The GOP Medicare Plan,” The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker” Blog, 5/9/11)

  • The Washington Post Awarded The Obama Administration “Three Pinocchios” For Their Medicare Claims. (Glenn Kessler, “Kathleen Sebelius’s Outrageous Claim That Cancer Patients Would ‘Die Sooner’ Under The GOP Medicare Plan,” The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker” Blog, 5/9/11)

Obama Administration “Should Be Ashamed” For Their “Highly Inflammatory” Rhetoric On The House GOP Plan For Medicare. “Instead, she decided to present a highly inflammable comment as a statement of fact — that there was ‘no question’ people would run out money ‘very quickly’ and then they would “die sooner.” She should be ashamed.” (Glenn Kessler, “Kathleen Sebelius’s Outrageous Claim That Cancer Patients Would ‘Die Sooner’ Under The GOP Medicare Plan,” The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker” Blog, 5/9/11)

And the editorial board was equally harsh in its assessment of Democrats’ “false, inflammatory” rhetoric.
