McCarthy Statement on Passage of the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange & Conservation Act

Washington D.C. – House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (CA-22) released the following statement regarding House passage of the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange & Conservation Act:

“A key focus of the House Republican jobs agenda is harnessing our national resources to put in place common-sense policies that grow our economy, spur job creation and keep America competitive in the global economy. This bill will create thousands of new jobs and is projected to have a total positive economic impact of more than $61.4 billion at no cost to the American taxpayer. Additionally, the project will yield enough copper to meet 25 percent of current U.S. demand, and help reduces the need for foreign imports. I thank Representative Paul Gosar for his hard work on this jobs bill and continued leadership on job creation in the House.”
