A Contrast In Leadership

In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer last night the President said, “the buck stops with me,” regarding stagnate economic growth and 9.1% unemployment.

President Obama: “The Buck Stops With Me.” “We’ve made steady progress on these fronts, but we’re not making progress fast enough. And what I continue to believe, the buck stops with me. I am going to be held accountable.” (CNN’s “The Situation Room,” 8/16/11)

Yet, the President is crisscrossing the Midwest at taxpayer expense seeking to blame Congressional Republicans and deflect Americans’ anger for his failed policies.

On Economy & Jobs Bus Tour President Obama Attempts to Buck Responsibility On Economy & Jobs. “President Barack Obama sought on Tuesday to turn voter anger over the economy toward Republicans in the U.S. Congress as he courted rural Americans in a campaign-style bus tour through a key election state.” (Alister Bull, “On Bus Tour, Obama Shifts Blame To Republicans,” Reuters, 8/17/11)

But remember, House Republicans have put forth a pro-growth economic agenda to create jobs. The President has not.
