House Energy Action Team Announces Tour Dates and Sites for the 2012 American Energy and Jobs Tour
Washington D.C. – House Majority Whip and House Energy Action Team Co-Chair Kevin McCarthy (CA-22) released the following statement announcing tour dates and sites for the 2012 American Energy and Jobs Tour:
“Next week, members of the House Energy Action Team will spread out across the country to highlight America’s domestic energy resources and the need to increase domestic production in order to ensure both our economic security and national security. Skyrocketing gas prices have compounded the challenges families and small businesses already face from slow economic growth and persistently high unemployment. America has the potential to become the largest energy producing nation in the world – which would power our economic recovery by creating hundredsofthousands of jobs right here at home.”
There will be a Tele-Press Conference with Rep. Kevin McCarthy and all HEAT Captains for members of the media scheduled for 11AM ET on Thursday, May 24th.
