Tax Day: A Small Businesses Nightmare

TAX DAY.jpg_0

The United States tax code is unnecessarily complex, unreasonably long, and costs the taxpayers billions in time and money every single year. Small businesses alone spend a full work week and $168 billion annually to comply with the IRS’s regulations.

Though the tax system is unwieldy and broken, since taking office in 2009 President Obama has introduced a total of 442 new tax increases on the already overburdened American people. Instead of raising taxes and adding more pages to the nearly 80,000-page tax code, Republicans are working to lower tax rates and cut loopholes, making the tax code simpler, fairer, and more competitive.
