The President’s Blame Game
For five and a half years, President Obama has stuck to the same old script: when he’s unable to meet Republicans in the middle, he blames Congress for inaction. His tagline is not only incorrect, it has now become tiresome.
Currently, there are 294 House-passed bills collecting dust in on Senator Harry Reid’s desk. Two hundred and ninety-four bills that ought to be taken up in the Senate that will strengthen the American economy and create jobs.
Washington is only effective when the Senate and White House put in an honest day’s work, but they refuse to do so when they continue to ignore all the bills passed by the House, many with widespread bipartisan support.
While President Obama and Senate Democrats have been playing politics, Republicans have made America’s priorities our priorities. It’s time for the president to stop his excuses and start working with Republicans on genuine solutions.
