Leader McCarthy on the April Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on the April employment report:

“We’re another month into a recovery that’s been too slow for too long. While it’s good news that April saw more jobs being added than the month of March, millions of American still suffer from long-term unemployment or aren’t earning the salaries they did before the recession. America is being held back from it’s full potential by bad policies from Washington. The House will continue to work for an America of freedom and opportunity for all with policies that actually grow the economy instead of putting more constraints on it. We’ve already passed many bills this year to help the private sector create jobs, and we look forward to passing trade-promotion authority, which will bring even more jobs to America and increase American exports.”
