Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on House passage of H.R. 6094, the Regulatory Relief for Small Businesses, Schools, and Nonprofits Act:

“When I travel the country, small businesses—the main job creators—tell me that it’s regulations more than anything else keeping them from growing, hiring new employees, or paying their current employees more. Frankly, the Obama Administration is doing more harm to workers than good. The Administration’s overtime rule is going to blindside businesses and could massively disrupt employment and curb employee flexibility. The House voted today to delay this rule for a half a year to save employers and employees from even more unintended consequences of bad regulations.”
