Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on seven pieces of legislation the House passed today to help veterans:

“The bills the House passed today help veterans on all fronts—they help veterans find jobs and receive the health care they need. Veterans put it all on the line for us. That’s why it’s unacceptable any time a veteran can’t find a job or can’t get the care he or she needs. We’re thankful for the service of our veterans every single day. These bills are another way our nation can give back to them by directly improving their lives.”

The House passed the following legislation:

  • H.R. 918, Veteran Urgent Access to Mental Healthcare Act
  • H.R. 1133, Veterans Transplant Coverage Act
  • H.R. 1900, National Veterans Memorial and Museum Act
  • H.R. 2123, Veterans E-Health and Telemedicine Support (VETS) Act
  • H.R. 2601, Veterans Increased Choice for Transplanted Organs and Recovery (VICTOR) Act
  • H.R. 3634, Securing Electronic Records for Veterans Ease (SERVE) Act
  • H.R. 3949, Veterans Apprenticeship and Labor Opportunity Reform (VALOR) Act
