CHC Policy and Special Projects Coordinator

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) seeks a hardworking, initiative-taking, and detail-oriented Policy and Special Projects Coordinator. The ideal candidate will work both collaboratively and individually, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, has the ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.

In addition, the ideal candidates will have previous Capitol Hill experience, familiarity with diversity, immigration, healthcare, census, education and civil and voting rights issues. The qualified candidate will have an understanding of CHC’s policy priorities and familiarity working with the Latino community and advocates.

Responsibilities include: working closely and collaboratively with multiple Member offices and key stakeholders on CHC projects around diversity, healthcare, immigration and census issues, preparing materials for caucus meetings, conducting background research on issues, legislation, coordinating outreach and correspondence, managing caucus-wide sign-on letters, handling logistical considerations for caucus events and programs, managing special projects, and assisting the Executive Director with caucus responsibilities.

The candidate will possess a can-do attitude and be a self-starter. This is not an entry-level position.
