Floor Update: Sep 17, 2020 - 2:45 pm
Schedule for the Week of September 21, 2020
as announced by Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer
"On Monday, the House will meet at 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.  No votes are expected in the House on Monday.

On Tuesday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for Morning Hour debate and 11:00 a.m. for legislative business, with first votes as early as 12:00 p.m.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for Morning Hour debate and 11:00 a.m. for legislative business.

On Friday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business.

We will consider several bills under suspension of the Rules.  The complete list of suspension bills will be announced by the close of business tomorrow.

The House will consider a Continuing Resolution for FY21.  While House Democrats did our job, passing 10 of the 12 appropriations bills earlier this year, Senate Republicans failed to hold a single markup of appropriations bills.  Although it is not ideal, a CR is necessary in order to avert a shutdown that would only further damage our economy.

The House will also consider H.R. 4447, Clean Economy Jobs and Innovation Act.  This bill is a package of legislation reported out of the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Science, Space, and Technology Committee to invest in energy innovation and clean energy development.  This package focuses on promoting a cleaner, more sustainable energy future that drives innovation and helps us create good jobs for American workers.

In addition, the House may consider H.R. 6270, The Uyghur Forced Labor Disclosure Act, and H.R. 6210, The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.

Lastly, additional legislative items are possible."
