LEADER'S FLOOR UPDATE

The House is now taking the following votes on H.R. 1187 – ESG Disclosure Simplification Act of 2021:
  1. Burgess Amendment – Requires publicly traded companies to disclose any change in taxes paid as the result of a change in the federal corporate tax rate – 20 minutes

    Following this vote, the House will take the following votes on H.R. 1187:
     
  2. Democratic En Bloc #1 Offered by Ms. Waters (Axne Amendment, Frankel Amendment, Himes Amendment, Meeks Amendment, Phillips Amendment, and Wexton Amendment) – 20 minutes
  3. Hill Amendment – Strikes the underlying legislation with a study that must be conducted by the SEC to summarize and describe any inconsistencies by the different ESG and climate disclosure frameworks before any type of disclosure from public companies – 20 minutes
  4. Schrier Amendment – Requires the Commission, in conjunction with the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation and the Office of the Investor Advocate, to conduct a study and issue a report on the issues small businesses face in reporting ESG disclosures with the report including recommendations for the Commission to consider, and should be completed within 1 year of the enactment of the bill 20 minutes
  5. Republican Motion to Recommit on H.R. 1187 – VOTE NO – 20 minutes
  6. Final Passage of H.R. 118– ESG Disclosure Simplification Act of 2021 (Rep. Vargas – Financial Services) – VOTE YES – 20 minutes
​​​After these votes, the House will begin one hour of debate on S. 475 – Juneteenth National Independence Day Act.

Following debate on S. 475, the House will take votes.  These are the last votes of the day.

Next/Last votes predicted: at approximately 5:30 – 6:00 p.m., on motion to commit and passage of S. 475.
