It was a busy weekend...

So ICYMI, there’s a growing number of Senate Republicans calling on its leadership to reopen government and end the Trump shutdown while Democrats and Republicans continue to negotiate on border security. As a reminder, they are joining Senators Collins, Gardner, and Murkowski who want to see action to reopen government now. Take a look:
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC): “I would urge him to open up the government for a short period of time, like three weeks… See if we can get a deal.” [Fox News Sunday, 1/13/19]

Sen. Rob Portman (R-WI): “We've got to negotiate [the wall funding], but I don't think the shutdown is the right leverage to use to get there.” [Cincinnati (WKRC), 1/4/19]

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV): “I think certainly I have expressed more than a few times the frustrations with a government shutdown and how useless it is.”  [CNN, 1/8/19]
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA): “It hurts all of us and everybody that’s looking from the outside. They’re like: What is wrong with you? Why can’t you find a solution?” [Politico, 1/8/19]
Sen. John Boozman (R-AR): “We don’t need to hold [federal workers] hostage.” [CNN, 1/8/19]
