The House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) seeks a Director of Digital Strategy to design and execute a proactive, aggressive national digital messaging strategy. Responsibilities include: drafting sample digital posts to be used by Democratic offices, managing all digital platforms, maintaining and updating websites, tracking analytics, creating graphics and custom videos, and other communications assignments.
This is not an entry level position. Ideal candidates will have previous experience conceiving, storyboarding, shooting and editing videos as well as developing graphics. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working directly with Members of Congress or senior political principals. They should have knowledge of the legislative process and have a keen understanding of the various components, priorities, and values of the House Democratic Caucus. Candidates should be creative, organized, politically astute and able to juggle multiple projects under tight and competing deadlines. They should also have experience with Adobe, Photoshop, Final cut Pro as well as HTML knowledge.
This is a leadership office that requires a strong work ethic, total dedication, and close attention to detail. Non-traditional work hours are expected. The position will report to the executive director of the DPCC and work collaboratively with Chair and Co-Chair staff and other leadership staff.
