Job Posting – Labor/Environment Legislative Assistant

The office of Congresswoman Katherine Clark seeks a Legislative Assistant focused on economic justice, equal pay, and environmental sustainability and will include covering labor on the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Subcommittee. Responsibilities of this position include drafting and analyzing legislation, conducting research, drafting policy memos, meeting with constituents, and staffing Appropriations Committee hearings.

Ideal candidates will be excellent writers and have experience working on public policy issues, with labor or environmental policy preferred but not required.

This is not an entry-level position. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate their writing ability by completing an in person writing and editing test. Previous Hill experience is required. Massachusetts ties and a law degree are a plus but not required. Diverse candidates, women, and LGBTQ persons are strongly encouraged to apply.
