Job Posting - CA Press Secretary/Communications Director

Democratic Representative from California seeks an experienced Press Secretary or Communication Director to serve in the Washington, DC office. This position is responsible for handling communications and social media for the office, building and maintaining relationships with reporters, organizing inquiries, and preparing written materials, including op-eds, talking points, releases, newsletters, and constituent mail. This not an entry level position. Applicants should have experience on the Hill or in an aggressive, proactive media environment. Qualified candidates will have on-the-record experience, demonstrated creativity, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
