Legislative Assistant Opening - Rep. Marcia L. Fudge

Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (OH-11), Chair of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Nutrition, Department Operations & Oversight, Chair of the Committee on House Administration Subcommittee on Elections, and Member of the Committee on Education & Labor, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Legislative Assistant.  Responsibilities include managing and executing the Member’s legislative agenda within a broad portfolio of issues, serving as a liaison to various Congressional Caucuses, and working collaboratively in a fully integrated team environment.  Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of Hill legislative experience with a good understanding of House procedures, an understanding of developing and tracking legislative initiatives, the ability to maintain strategic relationships and political awareness.  This is not an entry level position.

Excellent writing, verbal and organizational skills are essential along with the ability to self-start, while juggling competing priorities as a member of a fully integrated Washington and District team working in a fast paced environment.  Ties to Ohio are a plus, but not required.  A sense of humor is essential.
