Legislative Assistant Posting

The Office of Congressman Ben McAdams (D-UT) seeks an experienced Legislative Assistant to manage a diverse policy portfolio that includes portions of the Congressman’s Science Committee work as well as energy, environment, public lands, defense, and veterans issues. This is not an entry-level position. Utah ties and previous policy experience on the Hill is preferred. Western lands experience a plus.  The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the legislative processes, an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative and team-oriented attitude.  Ideal candidates will have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a positive attitude.
