Mr. Chairman, you pick.

GOP Tax Law
This morning at the Ways and Means Committee hearing on the GOP tax scam, Chairman Brady suggested Democrats are cherry-picking data when Ranking Member Neal pointed out 83% of the benefits of the law are going to top 1% by 2027. So, as an exercise, let’s take a look at other years:

In 2018, the average tax cut for the top 1% is 55x (5400% larger) than the tax cut for the average taxpayer.

In 2025, the average tax cut for the top 1% is 67x (6600% larger) than the tax cut for the average taxpayer.

It’s also worth noting that the average taxpayer’s tax cut shrinks over time while tax cuts for the wealthy grow.

Pick whatever year you want, Mr. Chairman.  They’re all bad, because Republicans wrote a law to benefit the wealthy at the expense of the middle class.
