Press Intern

Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) has immediate openings for a paid Press Intern in the Washington, D.C. offices. Position reports and works closely with Communications Director. Responsibilities include compiling press clips, creating graphics and digital content, assisting with press conferences, drafting social media content, talking points and memos, conducting research and assisting the press staff with the daily operations of a very active press office. The ideal candidate must work well under pressure and tight deadlines, have good written and oral communication skills. Previous experience is not required, but candidates with Florida ties, who have an interest in communications, media, politics, and a general understanding of government are encouraged to apply. Internships are open to students and recent college graduates.
