Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) seeks a Press Secretary for his Washington, DC office. He serves on the House Intelligence and House Oversight committees. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and have an excellent understanding of all digital platforms.
Responsibilities include building relationships with local/national reporters; local TV media markets, radio stations, and newspapers; serving as on-the-record spokesperson for the Congressman; booking and preparing member for media interviews; writing talking points, press releases and op-eds; overseeing digital communications outreach including e-newsletter, website, and social media accounts; producing a weekly communications report for the Congressman; and providing regular communications updates to staff.
