The office of Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-02) is seeking a highly-organized, hardworking, and detail-oriented Scheduler/Staff Assistant based out of our Washington D.C. office. The scheduler would report directly to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the District Director.
Strong candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail. Searching for someone that can anticipate problems and offer solutions. The job requires an individual that can communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and work effectively with different teams. This individual will work very closely with the congresswoman, DC and district staff.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Tracking, evaluating, and responding to all scheduling requests in DC and Arizona
- Organizing the Member’s daily briefing materials, coordinating Member’s travel arrangements, and organizing Member’s short-term and long-term schedule for DC and the District
- The staff assistant portion of this role requires managing tour and flag requests and general administrative/technology support.
- Other special projects as needed
Applicants must have superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position on occasion involves longer hours and availability by phone on weekends and evenings. Arizona ties are highly encouraged but not required.
