Judiciary Vice Chairwoman Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05) is seeking a Fellow for the Washington, D.C. office to assist in covering policy areas relating to the work of the House Judiciary Committee. Responsibilities include drafting meeting materials for the member, attending Congressional hearings, meetings with stakeholders and advocates. Additionally, the Fellow will work closely with the Legislative Director to prepare for Committee hearings by conducting research for memorandums, drafting questions for witnesses, and assisting staff with necessary tasks during hearings.
Having or being in pursuit of a law degree is a plus but is not required. A demonstrated interest in policy areas relating to the House Judiciary Committee is required.
This position will be paid, at a minimum, at the salaried equivalent of $15 per hour (exact compensation commiserate with experience). A minimum of 24 hours of work per week is required and could go up to full time.
