Spring 2020 D.C. Internship and Fellowship Opportunities with Rep. Colin Allred (TX-32)

The Washington D.C. office of Representative Colin Allred (TX-32) seeks a full-time intern (paid position) and fellows (for college credit) to assist the office in a robust and hands-on position for spring 2020. Preference for a paid internship will be given to those who have a need for financial assistance. Applicants should have strong writing and research skills, and strong interpersonal and constituent service skills. Ideal candidates are college students, recent graduates, or graduate students who work well in a fast-paced and results-driven environment. Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting staff with legislative and issue research
  • Attending and taking notes on issue briefings and hearings
  • Researching and writing constituent response letters
  • Constituent service including front office duties, answering phones, and conducting Capitol tours
  • Other duties as assigned
