Southern California Democrat seeks an experienced Legislative Correspondent for his Washington, D.C. office. Responsibilities include organizing and managing an established and active mail program, ensuring quick response times, conducting legislative research, and performing other duties as assigned. Applicants must be detail-oriented and extremely organized, possess superior writing and editing skills, and be able to manage and prioritize a variety of assignments under tight deadlines. Previous communications or legislative experience, experience using Intranet Quorum (IQ), and San Diego ties are strongly preferred.
