Press Secretary

The office of Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark seeks a Press Secretary to join her team. The applicant will be responsible for interacting directly with media, writing traditional and social media content, speechwriting, creating talking points, developing proactive campaign strategies, and overseeing staff. Work will entail complex issues, tight deadlines, and working off-hours. This is not a junior or entry level position.

An ideal candidate will:

  • Be an exceptional and enthusiastic writer and copyeditor;

  • Work collaboratively with the Congresswoman and staff;

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced setting;

  • Have experience executing a traditional and social media program;

  • Think strategically and creatively;

  • Be passionate about advancing progressive policies;

  • Be willing to work irregular hours including some nights and weekends; and

  • Have sound judgement and a positive attitude.
