Legislative Assistant:  A progressive Texas Democrat seeks candidates for a legislative assistant position handling a diverse portfolio of policy issues. Ideal candidates would assist Legislative Director in managing the Judiciary Committee work on issues such as crime, civil rights and civil liberties, antirust, intellectual property, and additional domestic policy issues. Responsibilities will include staffing the Member, monitoring committee and floor activities, advancing legislative initiatives, and representing the office at events and in meetings.  Qualified candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, over three years of Hill and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. Texas ties and Spanish language skills are a plus.
