Congresswoman Madeleine Dean is seeking a Staff Assistant to assist in office functions and administrative duties. Responsibilities will vary based on telework status. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing flag and tour requests, overseeing interns, answering and screening telephone calls, managing the front office and greeting visitors, driving the Congresswoman when necessary, processing physical mail, maintaining and ordering office equipment, performing special projects assigned by District or DC staff, and other general administrative duties.
Candidates must be trustworthy, responsible, a driven team player, excellent at multitasking, with a commitment to public service. Candidates should also have an engaging personality, excellent communication skills, strong writing and organizational skills, an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and a sense of humor.
