Legislative Correspondent

Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici seeks a detail-oriented Legislative Correspondent to manage an active constituent mail program in her Washington, D.C. office. Core responsibilities include researching and drafting all constituent correspondence, managing constituent mail database and outreach lists, and hiring/managing 1 – 2 interns per semester. The position will also include some, but not all, staff assistant responsibilities, such as flag requests and other duties to be assigned. The office is currently operating at maximum telework, but when it is safe to reopen, this position will be located in the front office and the LC will greet visitors and assist with leading capitol tours. Ideal candidates will be extremely organized, detail-oriented, have strong writing skills and interpersonal skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. Oregon ties and familiarity with IQ are preferred. Salary: $40,000/year.
