Staff Assistant & Mail Manager

Congressman Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA-05) is seeking dynamic and highly motivated candidates for a Staff Assistant & Mail Manager position. This position is currently in full telework, but will be based in Washington, D.C. when in-person work resumes.

Responsibilities include processing flag and tour requests, hiring/training/managing interns, screening phone calls, managing the front office and greeting visitors (when the office reopens), performing special projects, and other general administrative duties.  The position will also have significant responsibilities to assist in processing and responding to constituent mail, including batching mail, responding to inquiries, and drafting letters.  Candidates who are interested in advancing to assume full Legislative Correspondent duties and title are encouraged to apply.
