Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) seeks an experienced, organized, and highly motivated Scheduler / Office Manager for his Washington, DC, office. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the Member’s Washington, DC, schedule; making all travel arrangements; organizing and responding to incoming scheduling requests; managing the Member’s time in a productive and timely manner; and coordinating with the District Scheduler to ensure a smooth operation. Additional responsibilities may include managing the office’s budget and finances; overseeing office operations; processing payroll and benefits forms; and maintaining office records, inventories, and supplies.
This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a scheduler, office manager, or executive assistant, whether on Capitol Hill or off. We are looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver who can manage the challenges of an ever changing schedule with patience and efficiency. This position may require flexible hours and availability by phone during evenings and weekends.
