Staff Assistant

Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX-16) seeks Staff Assistant for Washington, D.C. office.  Responsibilities include managing the front office, welcoming office visitors (when no longer in telework posture),  managing internship program, processing flag and tour requests, organizing incoming mail and phone messages, providing general administrative support to the office, and other duties as assigned. This position requires an ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and perform under pressure. This position will report to the Chief of Staff directly, and will require to occasionally schedule the Chief of Staff’s calendar.

This is an entry-level position. Qualified candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. Texas ties and Spanish language skills are a plus.
