Legislative Director

Legislative Director

Congressman Adam Schiff seeks a Legislative Director to oversee his personal office policy team and legislative agenda. This is not an entry-level position and significant previous policy experience on Capitol Hill is required.

The Legislative Director will manage a large and diverse portfolio of legislative and policy initiatives, while creatively and effectively identifying new policy areas to pursue. The ideal applicant will have a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff, think strategically, and have experience in formulating and advancing legislation and policy initiatives – both large and small. Successful applicants will have knowledge of House legislative processes and procedures, particularly Appropriations, excellent organization and communication skills, and thrive on collaboration with a talented team.

California ties are a plus. This senior staff position reports to the Chief of Staff and will work closely with an active Communications team.
