The Office of Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) seeks a proactive, hard-working DC-based bilingual (Spanish/English) Communications Assistant to join its communications operation. Candidates should be organized, creative, motivated and must have the ability to generate content in the Congresswoman’s voice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the Press Secretary; managing social media accounts and office website; editing and producing weekly video content; drafting graphics for social media; compiling daily press clips; tracking press and social media analytics; creating e-newsletters and franked mailings; organizing and executing virtual and telephone town halls; and assisting with organizing earned media events. Experience with Adobe Creative suite or willingness to learn is a big plus.
