Office Manager (Based in DC)
The Office of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) seeks an Office Manager for her Washington D.C. office on Capitol Hill.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about operations, highly-organized, and have Hill experience.
Individuals from BIPOC, LGBT+, working class, and/or other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply, as well as people with ties to NY-14.
Spanish language skills are highly preferred.
Clearing backlog mail process from remote work time period (temporary)
Working with Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of Operations to manage re-opening of DC office when cleared by House Physician to do so
Welcoming office visitors (when in person)
Processing flag and tour requests (when in person)
Manages physical mail, operations portion of correspondence program, and DC phones
Purchase office supplies, and oversee office decoration and organization
Hire interns and manage and execute internship program
Onboard new staff (obtaining IDs, technology and assets, etc)
Work with Deputy Director of Operations and Chief of Staff to put together office culture building events
Assist operations team with any additional tasks.
This role is based in the Washington D.C. Capitol Hill Office. As per the House Physician’s guidance, our office is currently participating in maximum telework, however, this role may require occasional physical presence in the coming months to assist with on-site office work.
The Office Manager reports to the Deputy Director of Operations.
