Legislative Director

Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-1) seeks a Legislative Director with extensive legislative and Capitol Hill experience to join our team. The LD will be responsible for working with the Member, Chief of Staff, District Director and legislative/press team to successfully develop and implement policies that reflect the Member's goals for his district in Southern New Jersey and his work on the Armed Services, Education & Labor, and Science, Space & Technology Committees. The LD will contribute to the strategic office plan; supervise and mentor legislative staff; proactively promote the office legislative agenda; manage a personal legislative issue portfolio; and perform other duties as assigned. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of the legislative and political process on Capitol Hill and have very strong communication, writing and analytical skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team and delegate, be highly organized, detail oriented, creative, resourceful, and passionate about public service. New Jersey ties are a plus.
