Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05) is seeking an experienced, motivated, and industrious Legislative Assistant to manage his healthcare portfolio, among other issues. The primary responsibilities of the position include introducing and advancing legislation, staffing the Member in meetings and Committee hearings/markups, drafting talking points and speeches, tracking legislation, and assisting with constituent correspondence.
Candidates must have previous healthcare policy experience. Knowledge of the Appropriations process is also preferred. Strong writing, organization, oral communication, and collaborative work skills are essential. This is not an entry level position. Applicants should have 3-5 years of experience ideally with experience on the Hill.
