Communications Director

Senator Bob Casey seeks a Communications Director to oversee all aspects of the office’s communications and media efforts. This person will serve as a member of the Senator’s senior management team and will: provide strategic counsel to the Senator and staff on messaging, communications, and media relations; liaise with state and national media; develop and oversee the implementation of effective media strategies in support of an ambitious legislative agenda; oversee the planning and execution of the Senator’s media events in DC and in Pennsylvania; and manage a four-person communications team. Ideal candidates will be active managers with extensive communications and on the record experience, strong media relationships, sound judgment, sharp political instincts, creative and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, collegial environment. Pennsylvania ties a plus. This is not an entry level position.
