Legislative Assistant

Representative Carolyn B. Maloney is seeking a highly motivated Legislative Assistant to join her team. The legislative portfolio will cover a variety of issues, including health, transportation, and education. 

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, who is able to work under tight deadlines and complete tasks independently. An understanding of House legislative processes and procedures, excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to multitask and work collaboratively is required, and candidates must be able to work extended hours when the Congressional schedule necessitates.

This is not an entry-level position and 2-3 years of Hill or comparable experience is required. Connections to New York and New York’s 12th Congressional District are preferred.
