Legislative Director

Responsibilities:  supervise and mentor legislative staff; contribute to office communications plan; promote Member’s legislative agenda; manage a varied personal legislative portfolio; and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:  Previous supervisory experience; thorough knowledge of the legislative and appropriations process; organizational, communication and time-management skills; ability to multitask; flexibility; detail-orientation; ability to meet attendance requirements; and honesty and ethics in all organizational activities.

Extras:  Spanish fluency preferred.  Los Angeles or CA ties are a plus. Women, people of color, and LGBTQ persons are encouraged to apply. NO calls, drop-ins, or third-party lobbying campaigns.
