Legislative Assistant / Aide

Congressman Ron Kind (WI-03), a senior Democratic Member of the Ways and Means Committee, seeks a Legislative Assistant/Aide for the Washington, DC office to cover a wide range of issues and additional responsibilities depending on experience and interest.

Responsibilities will include drafting legislation, memos, and talking points, making vote recommendations, meeting and maintaining relationships with constituents and advocacy groups, working closely with the communications team and district staff, advancing legislative priorities, responding to constituent mail, and other tasks as required. The position requires strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities at one time, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Previous legislative experience and Wisconsin ties are strongly preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
