Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) seeks a Legislative Assistant in her Washington, DC office. The Legislative Assistant will lead the Member’s work on the Financial Services Committee, covering a portfolio that includes banking, housing, monetary policy, and other potential off-committee issue areas. Responsibilities include drafting and monitoring legislation, preparing materials for committee hearings and markups, taking meetings, and engaging with constituent and stakeholder organizations, advising the member on policy issues, and performing other tasks as required.
Requirements include a strong understanding of financial services policy, knowledge of the legislative process, excellent writing and verbal skills, and excellent time and organizational management. Applicants will be highly motivated self-starters who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is not an entry-level position.
