Congressman Adam Smith (WA-09) seeks an experienced and highly-organized Scheduler for his D.C. Office. This staffer will work directly with the Member, Chief of Staff and District Director to manage the Congressman’s daily and long-term schedule in D.C. and in the District.

Responsibilities include organizing and evaluating incoming invitations and scheduling requests; addressing all incoming requests promptly and regularly communicating with constituents; keeping the Member on schedule throughout the day; working with Committee, legislative and communications staff to ensure the Member is prepared for events/meetings; and coordinating travel arrangements. Candidates must be proactive, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous scheduling, administrative or office management experience is required. Hill experience and/or Washington ties are preferred. This position may require availability by phone and email on weekends and evenings. Salary range is $55-60k depending on experience.
