The Office of Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) seeks an organized, detail-oriented, and responsible individual with previous scheduling experience to serve as Scheduler in our Washington, D.C. office. This staffer will work directly with the Member, Chief of Staff, and District Director to manage and maintain the Congresswoman’s daily and long-term schedule in D.C. and the District office.
Responsibilities include organizing and tracking invitations and scheduling requests; arranging travel for the Member and for staff traveling on official business; keeping the Congresswoman on schedule throughout the day, and promptly addressing all incoming requests. This job also requires regularly communicating with constituents; working with legislative and communications staff to ensure Member is prepared for events/meetings, and performing other duties as required. This is not an entry level position; it requires someone who is able to be on call and available to assist the Member after regular business hours. Capitol Hill and/or executive assistant experience is preferred. The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, have excellent interpersonal skills, be a problem solver, handle last minute changes to the Member’s schedule, be proactive, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
