Military Legislative Assistant

Rep. Rick Larsen, a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee, is seeking a Military Legislative Assistant to manage a portfolio that includes, but is not limited to, the role of emerging technologies, specifically 5G, Artificial Intelligence and Quantum, and Special Operations Forces in the military’s strategic shift to the Asia-Pacific. The job will also handle veterans affairs, homeland security, space and technology. This position will also support the Representative’s involvement in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, specifically his work on the Ukraine Informal Support Group for the Crimea Platform Group. This is not an entry level position. Candidates should have 3-5 years of Hill experience, be strong writers, understand the legislative process and be proactive. WA state ties are a plus.
