Legislative Fellowship Program

The Office of Congressman Tom Malinowski is pleased to offer a legislative fellowship opportunity to an exceptional graduate student or recent graduate based in our Washington DC office. This is a part-time paid position supporting a broad range of domestic policy priorities, beginning January 2022 for a period of up to 6 months.

Fellows can expect to play a vital role supporting the operations of the legislative department with responsibilities including but not limited to: responding to legislative inquiries from constituents, taking meetings with constituents and stakeholders, and providing research and briefing materials in support of the Congressman’s committee activity, public events, and constituent meetings.  

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least 25-35 hours of availability per workweek. Priority consideration will be given to constituents of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.  In your cover letter please include your availability. The office can work with you to accommodate existing class or work schedules.

No prior experience necessary but applicants with coursework or professional experience in any of the following policy areas are encouraged to apply: transportation, infrastructure, public projects, small business/economics, energy, environment, and climate change/resiliency, homeland security or government reform.
