Congressman Tony Cárdenas (CA-29) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented team-player to serve in the position of Scheduler/Director of Operations in a fast-paced Capitol Hill office. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the Member’s daily and long-term schedules for both DC and the District; organizing and evaluating all incoming meeting requests and invitations; keeping the Member on schedule throughout the day; working with staff to ensure the Member is prepared for events/meetings; coordinating travel arrangements; processing and managing expenses and reimbursements for the Member; and communicating with constituents by phone and email to address requests, concerns, and questions. The scheduler keeps the Member and staff informed of any changes in the schedule throughout the day via text and prompt emails; processes incoming scheduling requests and conflicts; and briefs the Congressman, DC and District staff regularly.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have at least 2-4 years of experience, great attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication, strong time management skills, an ability to work under tight deadlines, and a sense of humor. Title and salary are commensurate with experience.
