Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard seeks a social media-savvy communications director to operate a comprehensive communications plan.
Including but not limited to growing social media presence, cultivating relationships with reporters; proposing and executing newsletters; drafting speeches, writing press statements, op-eds, and congressional record statements; expanding new media outreach; organizing daily news clips; and maintaining office website and social media platforms.
Excellent writing and organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with legislative and district staff to maximize visibility and press opportunities. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and have analytic ability, sound political judgment and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
This is not an entry level position. Hill experience and Spanish-language proficiency strongly preferred. Diverse candidates and those with Los Angeles ties are strongly encouraged to apply.
